Retail Therapy & Vaccination -I'm sure they're related somehow

Despite the terrible weather yesterday, we decided to take a daytrip to Moncton for a litle shopping. I had two *very* good coupons for Thyme Maternity and needed a few more things to round out my wardrobe. I think I have enough to get through now. I bought a pair of grey pinstripe pants, two light cotton blouses (one ruffly and black with 3/4 length sleeves and one blue with cute cap sleeves), a purple turtleneck and a brown knitted hoodie. I also got a black swing style cardigan at Costco that should last my whole pregnancy because it only buttons over the chest and is left open in the belly.

We also got this for Isabel for Christmas:

The toy box we have is ok, but it doesn't hold everything and she can't see a lot of her stuff, so I think this will come very much in handy.

Dave hit Princess Auto and got a bunch of boy-type things like a geared down motor, some pull-ties and various other doodads that I don't recognize.

Today, I am meeting Shannon for coffee and to exchange kid clothes. She also has a stroller that she bought for me on Kijiji in Ottawa. It was the fancy one that I posted a bit ago. I will probably wait until the Newbie comes along before showing it off in action, but she tried it out and assures me that I will love it :)

My doctor's appointment at the beginning of this week was relatively uneventful. I did, however, get an opportunity to thoroughly pick my OB's brain regarding the H1N1 shot and his recommendation. I think we've decided that we will all get the shot. Me - because I fall in the high risk group and will be in that group until the end of flu season (any woman in her second or third trimester of pregnancy or approximately 6 weeks post-partum is considered to be in this group). Isabel and Dave will be getting it because the Newbie will be in a high risk group when he is born, but will be disallowed from getting the shot himself (children under 6 months can't get the flu shot at all). Sort of a herd immunity thing. If I weren't pregnant and there weren't a new baby coming into our family, I wouldn't even consider it because I would rather we get the direct immunity from having had the virus, but with our particular situation, I think vaccination is the better choice.
