At one point this evening, we thought we might be having a baby rather early. I had a bought of contractions that were ~7 minutes apart and this lasted for just over 2 hours. I was in absolute agony (so they weren't typical Braxton Hicks). I sat on my duff for the bulk of the 2 hours in an attempt to make them stop and eventually they did.
Suffice to say, this little incident has spurred me into action. I will be packing a labour bag and an emergency over night bag for each myself & baby and Isabel (who will likely end up at either Sarah or Shannon's house until a grandparent can show up). I think I will also scrounge up the baby stuff that we will need immediately (my pump, the car seat, etc.) and make it easily accessible....just in case.
