The benefits of a well-cushioned baby and bed rest

It appears as though, while I had a giant belly and there were lots of other concerns with my pregnancy with Isabel, I missed out on some other, less than enjoyable, aspects of pregnancy.

I am not sure (because I am not a doctor), but I think I have SPD. Walking is a real struggle for me now, getting up and down has been for a long while and I am constantly afraid of dropping Isabel because my hips/pelvis give out with no warning. I thought these were simply the typical aches and pains of pregnancy (I knew that being on bed rest last time kept me from experiencing a lot of that), but that article describes my situation to a T, suggesting it may be something more specific. Dave has asked that I mention this to my OB when I see him next week - his concern really peaked when I couldn't walk without a serious limp and at times couldn't walk at all yesterday when we were at the mall. I had to take two Tylenol just to move at turtle speed.

Other than that, no real change in my situation. I am feeling much better now that I am getting more rest....the exhaustion during the work week was really getting to me. I am looking forward to catching up on sleep over the Christmas holidays. Isabel and I are going to attempt shopping again tomorrow (we'll see how that goes) to get the last few things we need. I was planning to do groceries with her tomorrow too, but I think I will wait until Tuesday for that - I am sending her to daycare anyway while I go to my ultrasound and run a few other errands.

The family is starting to show up on Monday - weather permitting. My MIL is hoping to come to the ultrasound with me, since it is the last of this pregnancy and quite possibly my last ever. They will be here until the 27th likely. My mom, Mike and my sister will be up on Christmas day (just in time for Christmas brunch hopefully). I have another week off after Christmas and daycare is closed, so Isabel will be home with me, so we will likely spend that time preparing for the newbie and doing fun things playing outside and going to the Clay Café.

I think that is the full update. I will let you know what sort of excitement comes of the ultrasound on Tuesday.
